Mary Ann Clarke

​

Mary Ann Clarke is a native of western Pennsylvania,
and now resides in Cape Charles, VA. She received a B.S. in Art Education in 1957 from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

​

Watercolor will always be her medium of choice. It's transparency makes it unique art form. Clarke paints from her own visual experience, the things and places that affect her life.

 

Her work has been published in the Artist's Magazine, a North Light Book called Basic Flower Painting Techniques in Watercolor and she has illustrated two books with drawings for Curtis Badger. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections across the country. Mary Ann has won numerous awards and has had the opportunity to show her paintings in Hawaii, Australia, New York City and museums in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Her paintings can now be found in galleries on the Eastern Shore and Hampton Roads.
